The short version

TranscriptX runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs and no trackers. We collect no personal data.

What the app accesses — and why

Microphone: Captures audio you choose to record. Audio is transcribed on-device with Apple's speech engine and never uploaded by us.

Speech recognition: Runs on-device (on-device recognition is required by the app). No audio or transcript leaves your iPhone.

Photos & files: Used only to import media you pick for transcription.

Web addresses you enter: If you paste a URL, your device fetches that content directly. We operate no servers and never see what you fetch.

Images you pick (text scan): Read on-device with Apple's Vision engine to extract text.

What we collect

Only what purchases require. The app itself sends us nothing — no analytics, no ads, no content uploads. Our App Store privacy label lists Purchase History only: when you buy Pro, our purchase partner RevenueCat processes the App Store receipt under a random anonymous identifier to unlock your features. It is not linked to your identity and is never used for tracking.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details. To validate purchases the app uses RevenueCat, which receives only a random anonymous identifier and the purchase receipt; no personal data, no tracking. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
